APT Design Services took this cottage from the brink of collapse and brought her back to her best.
The brief was to retain the original cottage and features where practically possible and extend out to form a large family living room with inglenook fireplace with garden access, large hall way leading onto a family kitchen and family dining area and snug, also an enclosed garage with a studio tagged on the back with views over the fields behind. On the first floor four functional bedrooms one with en-suite for guests, a large family bathroom and a large master suite with en-suite. Over the garage a functional adaptable room for entertaining and play.
APT Design Services worked with the client to maximise the potential of the cottage, designed the building inline with the brief and offered a few ideas the client had not envisaged. APT Design Services prepared the planning application and submitted to the local authority and obtained swift planning permission for the large extension. We then prepared all the construction drawings, sometimes commonly known as Building Control Drawings, for the entire build which received full building control compliance certification upon completion.
The family were delighted with the finished house and have remained in the house since it was completed it in 2011.
