COTTAGE RENOVATION PRIORS MARSTON

When this cottage was purchased it was in a sorry state, the windows were rotten, the floors were dangerous and the circa 1960’s kitchen extension was falling down and damp.

The brief was to retain as much of the original cottage as possible but to knock down and increase the size of the garden room / kitchen.

The cottage was taken back to its bear bones, the central wall underpinned, new extension to the lounge and porch area was constructed of matching stone and the gable and principle walls were re pointed with a fresh lime mortar.

The cottage was totally rewired and plumbed and new services  were routed during the build to create a downstairs shower and toilet which made for a more functional house. The installed kitchen is top spec and really helps to draw you through the space to the garden seating area at the end of the kitchen.
